World War One Day at St. John’s 28th July
On Saturday July 28th, the Fusilier Museum at St. John’s House will be holding a ‘World War One Day’ from 10am to 5pm.
Visit the Birmingham Pals living history museum on the front lawn and join in with family workshops and craft activities. At 2.30pm there will be a performance of ‘Local news 1915’ by Tell Tale Theatre Company. It’s a free event including entry to the museums.
At 2pm inside the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Museum there will be a talk by David Seeney about how to research the military history of your own family. This will cost £5 per person in aid of the museum. 01926 491653.
It is the day of the Smith Street Party, so afterwards you can stroll up Smith Street to look at the stalls, or have a drink and something to eat.
