Victor was baptised at St Nicholas, Warwick on 11th December 1898.

In the 1901 census, George and Blanche and the young Victor were registered at Henley Road, Budbrooke with George working as an agricultural labourer.

By the 1911 census, the couple had two more sons, Lesley (5) and Sidney (4) and were living at 18 Avon Street in Warwick.
